Hi all; :D
A noob to the sport. I just got my first batch of .45 reloads done. I am wondering if anyone would be coming to the January 9 league night and would be willing to bring their chronograph. Not sure what kind of velocity I have going. Must make sure it makes major, before loading a wack load.

Chronos do not work well with normal flourescent lights; Phoenix range or otherwise. Something to do with the 60 cycle frequency or thereabouts and how the sky screen picks up the shadow of the bullet.

You can buy IR spectrum lights for the new CED chrono's that run off of a battery pack. You can also buy or build a frame to go over your chrono and use incandescent bulbs or flourescent tubes that are designed for display shows. The flourescent tubes for display shows either operate at a different frequency or the modulations have somehow been dampened, the result being that these type of flourescent tubes do work for indoor chrono work.

Good luck.
