The International Practical Shooting Confederation - Alberta (IPSC-AB) was established to promote, maintain, improve and advance the sport of IPSC shooting within the province of Alberta; to safeguard its principles and to regulate its conduct province-wide in order to cultivate the safe, recreational use of firearms by persons of good character.
IPSC Alberta governs it’s activities and is affiliated with the following provincial, federal and international organizations:
IPSC Alberta is a not-for-profit, provincial sporting association and, as such, receives grant funding (along with other affiliated sports) from AFSS and ASC.
All IPSC Alberta sanctioned matches (Level II and higher) are run in accordance with the current edition of the “IPSC Handgun Competition Rulebook” and the “IPSC Target Array Handbook”.
